How It Works

You'll see a piece of content (like "a Film like The Godfather") and pick which content from a different format is structurally equivalent, meaning it takes about the same time to consume.

The Content Size Scale

All content falls into one of three sizes:

Mini
Under 5 min
TikTok, GIF, meme
Micro
5–55 min
TV episode, song, blog
Macro
55+ min
Film, audiobook, novel

Scoring

+1 for each correct selection
−1 for each wrong selection
0 minimum per question (can't go negative)

Based on the NAAL (National Assessment of Adult Literacy) partial credit method. Don't guess. Only pick what you're confident about.

Breakdown by Format

About this test: Based on "Towards an Ontology of Content" by Javier Cobas (Florida International University, 2020). Scoring uses the plus/minus partial credit method aligned with NAAL (National Assessment of Adult Literacy) methodology: +1 for each correct selection, -1 for each incorrect selection, floored at zero. This penalizes guessing while rewarding partial knowledge. The test measures your ability to recognize structural equivalence between content tokens (tVATs) across content types (VATs) using the kVAT framework: minicontent (<5 min), microcontent (5-55 min), and macrocontent (≥55 min).
